What happens after I place the order with my supplier?

• Determine what your terms of sale are with your supplier. From there we can determine how the shipment will be arranged from start to finish. Take a look at our reference guide that outlines the various terms of sale (incoterms) to see the different options and who is responsible for the costs for those terms.

• Once your order is verified with your supplier, send us a copy of your PO, and we will notify our agent overseas to follow up with your supplier to arrange the transportation from origin to final destination.

• Depending on the size of your shipment, we can arrange your cargo via air or ocean. Ocean freight options are:

  • Loose cargo or Less than container load (LCL), in which your cargo will be consolidated in a container with other shipments. Once it arrives to the final destination warehouse in the U.S., it will be separated in a Container Freight Station (CFS) warehouse, where it can be picked up for delivery.
  • Full Container Load (FCL) - if your shipment can fill a full container, we can arrange delivery of your container directly from the rail to your door. Typical container sizes are 20’, 40’, and 45’.

What happens when my cargo gets to the final port of discharge?

Based on how your shipment is arranged, Capito Enterprises, Inc. can help arrange delivery from the terminal directly to your door or customer. We work with many trucking carriers across the U.S. to get your product to its final destination.
